What is the KAEC?

The Kosovo American Economic City (KAEC) is a new initiative established by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has a strong desire to build the economic stability of Kosovo by partnering with their strongest ally, America. The Government purchased 1,250 acres just outside the City of Gjakova and has dedicated it to U.S. companies only. The goal of this initiative is to increase the economic stability of Kosovo through strategic investment while simultaneously providing an immense opportunity to their sister-nation’s global business industry.

American companies interested in expanding their business into Europe can now do so for pennies on the dollar compared to traditional international expansion methods and locations. For U.S. companies that choose to take advantage of this opportunity, they will receive free land, no property taxes, significantly discounted tax systems and business fees, as well as an abundant workforce at largely reduced labor costs.

The Government of Kosovo has made a large investment in the KAEC by securing the land, establishing laws and security structures for the new companies, and infrastructure plans to be constructed to and within the development zone.
